🚩 Everybody governs something; no one governs outcomes.

That's not because we don't want to, it is because we cannot.

Nobody governs outcomes because it is impossible to govern something that is absolutely dynamic in nature and is influenced by many things and pushed and pulled in so many directions at any given moment.

If we cannot govern outcomes, it does not justify failing to control and align them with business objectives.

Guess what…

💣 The only lever organizations have to control and align outcomes is “decisions”.

Let that sink in.
